Christopher S. Anderson, Ed.D., is a community leader, educator, and experienced organizational executive who has dedicated more than 25 years to serving families in San Joaquin County. As a resident of Lodi, Christopher is committed to transparent leadership, responsible budgeting, and thoughtful growth that protects the character and future of our community.
Christopher currently serves as President of the Stockton Teachers Association, where he leads collective bargaining, oversees fiscal operations, and advocates for sound public policy. In this role, he manages complex budgets, negotiates agreements, and works with diverse stakeholders to build consensus and deliver results.
For more than two decades, Christopher has also served students and families in the Stockton Unified School District. His work has included strategic planning, program development, accreditation leadership, grant acquisition, and careful oversight of public funds. He has chaired governance committees, helped oversee school site budgets, and partnered with community organizations to expand workforce and career pathways for local students.
We have a structural deficit in our city budget that should have been addressed years ago. I will work with my fellow council members and the community to address this so we have a strong fiscal plan going forward.
